Properties
1. Weichai engine piston transfers thermal energy which is generated from fuel combustion into kinetic energy. Then with connecting rod, it moves back and forth in cylinder and produces traction power to make crank rotate.
2. Aluminum alloy pistons are of good airtightness.
3. It is of high thermal conductivity. When engine is started up, high heat (2000 ℃) will arise inside the combustion chamber. Then, co-work of engine piston, piston ring and water cooling system can cool down work temperature.

Advantages
1. Weichai engine piston is made from aluminum alloy. Besides, special substance such as silicon is added to increase thermal conductivity and decrease thermal expansivity.
2. To strengthen its rigidity and heat insulation property, steel retainer or steel disc is applied at the head or skirt. Besides, specialized fittings are used to keep ring slots from been worn out.
3. Casting procedure is implemented so that aluminum alloy pistons have high accuracy and small weight difference between each other.
