Connecting Rod
Introduction
Connecting rod or conrod is applied to connect engine piston to crank or crankshaft in a reciprocating piston engine. Together with the crank, they form a simple mechanism that converts reciprocating motion into rotating motion in a periodic way. This light rod should be rigid enough so that it can bear alternating load caused by mechanical motions such as compressing, stretching and bending.
