Piston Ring

Introduction
Sinotruk piston ring is a kind of split ring that fits into a groove on the periphery of piston in a reciprocating engine such as an internal combustion engine or steam engine. It is implied to seal combustion chamber so that there is no transfer of gases from combustion chamber to crank. Besides, it can remove superfluous oil and regulate oil consumption. Hence, there are two functionally different rings, namely compression ring (for sealing) and oil ring (for regulating oil consumption).

3. In surface treatment for Sinotruk piston ring, advanced processes are applied, such as composite plating, flash plating, gas nitriding, etc. Layer thickness of the coating film is 2~3 μm, hardness is HV101900~2000, which meets technological demands of Euro IV or Euro V engines.
